It was great to see all those who came to the last worship event. Neil Johnson preached a challenging sermon about proclaiming the gospel in today’s world, and the Jazz Church band guided us in worship and helping to raise our awareness to God’s presence.

We are looking forward to the new program of events for next year, the quarterly worship events will continue, and there will also be some new community gatherings which will be an opportunity to explore some of the theological themes in more depth and share in fellowship with one another.

We are also pleased to announce that Jazz Church will be at Greenbelt this year! If you are around on Saturday then do pop into worship cooperative and join us for worship.

One week to go until the next Jazz Church worship event at Shirley Methodist Church.

It is an exciting event because Jazz Church has been going for one year and this next event will see the launch of an expanded program for next year including events and community gatherings where we will be looking in more detail at how we might make more use of the jazz metaphor as disciples of Jesus.

On 17th Rev. Neil Johnson will be preaching on the theme of “The Sermon” and the worship will be led by the Jazz Church band. Here is a link to a video to get you in the mood!
