About

Jazz Church is a gathering of people attempting to express, explore and understand their faith in worship. It is still in the early stages of development and any advice, support or criticism would be much appreciated. If you would like to get involved then please contact the Jazz Chruch team.

Jazz Church holds the following values:

  • Good preaching should be valued as an art in itself and celebrated.
  • All styles of music can and should be used and celebrated in worship.
  • Worship should be both encouraging and challenging for those taking part.
  • There is a place for accessible and culturally relevant acts of worship.
  • The last 2000 years of the Christian tradition surrounding worship should be celebrated.
  • The congregation should be given the oppertunity to respond to the challenges presented in worship in a number of different ways.
